The cervids

Family that groups deer and related forms, which has a very wide distribution, since they are only absent in Australia and Africa. Of herbivorous feeding, they are considered «ruminants» for having a double chewing process. The males have bone antlers, renewable annually, simple or branched according to the species, which grow covered by velvet that periodically falls. In Córdoba, the Grey Brocket Deer, represents the only native deer, while in the country there are seven other native species plus five introduced.
